Our Story & Community
Mint Studio was born on the Island of Cyprus in March 2015. Our mission was to create a sanctuary for movement and mindfulness. Mint was choosen as it’s characteristics would become a space that would always be Fresh, Welcoming and Empowering.
Six years into the business Mint yoga pilates was compelled to downsize due to the Covid-19 pandemic and a second small clinical reformer pilates studio specifically for rehabilitation was formed.
In 2022, The founder decided it was time to relocate with her children back in the UK and shut the doors in Cyprus and rebuild in London, where Mint Pilates became reborn.
At Mint Pilates, we’re dedicated to creating a personalised, uplifting Pilates experience - where precision, care and mindful movement come together in every session.
We believe Pilates is more than exercise, it’s an opportunity to strengthen, restore and reconnect with your body. That’s why our class sizes are intentionally small, with a maximum of three clients per session, ensuring individual attention and expert guidance tailored to you.
Every detail at Mint Pilates reflects this approach. From our fresh boutique space to the way we thoughtfully shape each class, we’re here to support your journey with care, clarity and purpose - so you leave feeling stronger, lighter and move at ease in your body.
We nuture a close-knit community united by a shared commitment to mindful movement and holistic wellbeing. Our studio is more than just a place to exercise - its a supportive sanctuary where every individual’s journey is honoured, and where thoughtful guidance and genuine connection inspire lasting strength and balance, both on and off the Reformer or the Mat.

Principles
Breath
Breath is the foundation of all movement. Intentional, full breathing fuels the body with oxygen, energises each movement, and fosters a sense of presence. At Mint Pilates, we teach breath as a tool to connect body and mind, creating rhythm and awareness throughout your practice.
Concentration
Pilates is a practice of focus. Concentration ensures each movement is performed with attention and purpose — allowing you to experience deeper results, increased awareness, and true embodiment of every exercise.
Control
Rather than working through momentum, Pilates is built on control. Every movement is deliberate, with a calm precision that supports stability, safety, and strength. True control cultivates both physical mastery and mental clarity.
Precision
Small details make a powerful impact. Precision means placing your body exactly where it needs to be — refining form and technique to achieve balance, efficiency, and elegance in every session.
Centre
All movement originates from the centre — often referred to as the "powerhouse." This includes the core muscles of the abdomen, lower back, hips, and pelvis. A strong centre creates stability, improves posture, and supports fluid movement throughout the entire body.
Flow
Pilates is a moving meditation. Exercises are performed with grace and continuity, flowing seamlessly from one to the next. Flow encourages efficiency, fluidity, and a deep connection to your breath and body.
